Thedis (Bridges) Gatison

Thedis Gatison an 85 year old Ansonia resident and wife of the late Willie Nelson Gatison passed away Dec. 5. She was born Dec. 27, 1937 in Bennettsville, S.C., daughter of the late Alfred & Fannie Morris Bridges. She was a member of The Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia. She is survived by her son William Gatison of S.C. and daughters Elizabeth Gatison of Ansonia, Thedis Gatison of West Haven & Valerie Gatison of Monroe, and sister Aszlee Daye of Durham, N.C., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her son Robert and daughters Theresa and Lisa Gatison. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at The Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia. Friends can call at church from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Burial follows in Pine Grove Cemetery. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home of Ansonia, has been entrusted with arrangements.
