Steven Casimates

Steven Casimates, an 83 year old Southbury resident and husband to Marie Cannici Casimates, entered into eternal rest Jan. 11 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was born Oct. 17, 1940 in Manhattan, son of John and Jean Poretta Casimates. He worked for BIC Pen Co. and attended Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.

In addition to his wife Marie, he is survived by his brother Joseph Casimates of Las Vegas, Nevada, sister Margaret Grieco of White Stone, N.Y. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter Tina Marie Casimates as well as his brothers John and George Casimates. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m., with friends asked to go directly to Holy Rosary Church. Burial will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour.
