Robert Royster

Robert Royster Jr., a 77 year old Bridgeport resident passed away June 30. He was born Feb. 25, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois son of the late Robert Royster Sr. and Mary Gatison Royster. He worked as a baker for Stop & Shop. He leaves to cherish his memory sisters Alfreda Royster of Bridgeport and Corrine Dixon & Katie Little, both of Chicago, nephew Chris Royster of Bridgeport, as well as cousins Carol Ann Saunders of Seymour, Laralee Butler of Natchez, MS., Sheila, Cheryle & Debra Butler, all of Ansonia Gwen Butler of Erie, Penn., Carlton Butler of Rhode Island and Victor Butler of TX., and Velma, Linda & Laura Butler. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 6 at 11:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Friends may call on Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
