Robert D. Emmerson

​Robert D. Emmerson, 77, recently of Seymour and a lifelong resident or Ansonia, husband of Kathleen Loftus Emmerson, passed away June 22, 2025 at Shady Knoll Health Center in Seymour.  He was born August 26, 1947 in Derby, son of the late Alfred and Dorothy Soutier Emmerson.  He worked in the Parts Department at Fitzpatrick’s Car Dealership and was an avid car enthusiast.  In addition to his wife, he leaves his brother, Alfred Emmerson of New Haven, step-children Dale, William, David and Kathleen Sirko, and Kimberly Hallas, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Emmerson Loftus.  Services will be held on Monday, June 30th, from 3-6pm at the Jenkins King and Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St., Ansonia.
