Philomena Cusano Princevalli, a 101 year old resident of Shelton, former longtime Ansonia resident and wife to the late Frank Princevalli, passed away Feb. 2, 2020 at Apple Rehab in Shelton. She was born Nov. 14, 1918 in Derby, daughter of the late Angelo and Theresa Nicolari Cusano. Philomena worked as a beautician and hairdresser and was a parishioner of The Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her twin brother Nicolas Cusano & daughter Elaine Princevalli. She is survived by grandsons Christopher & Michael, nieces Bernice & Frances Nicolari, both of Derby & Lida Princevalli of Ansonia, nephews Frank Princevalli of Shelton & Joel Princevalli of Hamden, loved one Lorraine Quillia, whom she and her husband raised as their own of Bellville, Illinois and 2 great grandchildren Autumn & Donte. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Sunday August 9, 2020 at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia at 11:00 a.m. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements.
