Patricia Carol (Stratton) Andreana

Patricia (Stratton) Andreana, age 85, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, April 6, 2024, after an unexpected illness. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph, to whom she was married for 62 years.
Pat was born in Gloversville, NY where she met Joe in junior high school. After attending college, Pat and Joe married and began their life together in CT. At that point, Pat started her teaching career in Shelton, but they quickly moved to Colorado for Joe's work. After three years, they returned to CT and found their forever home in Oxford in 1974.
Pat was a proud educator for the Oxford Public Schools for 25 years, where she not only made many lifelong friends but also found her true calling in the classroom.
Pat was also truly dedicated to her church, Great Hill United Methodist Church of Seymour. As a faithful member for over 50 years, Pat was involved in almost every aspect of church life, especially excited about the church flea markets which were her passion. She couldn't resist a tag sale and loved to get a bargain, in hopes of reselling it someday.
Left to honor her memory, in addition to her husband, Joe, are her two children: Michael and wife Tracy, of Weatogue, CT, and Melissa and husband Brian, of Moorestown, NJ. She was extremely proud of her children and their accomplishments, most notably the wonderful grandchildren they provided.
Pat leaves behind to honor her legacy, four amazing grandchildren: Matt (32), Rachel (27), Ceili (26), and Cailin (22). Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she was happy to tell everyone she met about them. She would do anything for them and taught them through her words and actions to be strong, independent, caring adults. There is no doubt that Pat's legacy will live on through them.
Pat was predeceased by her parents, David and Jean Stratton, and her sister, Sharon Cohen.
Calling hours for Patricia Andreana will be at Jenkins-King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St, Ansonia, CT 06401 on Friday, April 12 from 5:00-7:00 pm. A private burial service will take place on Saturday, April 13, followed by a celebration of life service where friends and family can gather at Great Hill United Methodist Church (225 Great Hill Rd, Seymour, CT 06483) at 11:00 AM (reception immediately to follow in the Fellowship Hall).
