Martin Sprague a 61 year old former Naugatuck resident currently of Shelton and husband to Nicole Mancini Sprague, passed away June 18 at Yale N.H. Hospital. He was born July 13, 1961 in New Haven, son of Marion Krick Sprague and the late Merle Sprague. A graduate of Shelton High School, Class of ’79, he worked as a lead man in the blades dept. for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford. Martin loved all sports, but skiing & golfing were his passions. He was predeceased by two brothers, Merle and Marshall. In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory his son Adam Sprague and daughter Ashley Sprague, both of Naugatuck, siblings Marilyn Gotshall (John) of Oxford, Mary Lathlean (Gary) of Waterbury Michele Sprague (Steve) of Naugatuck and Michael Sprague of New York, sister-in-law Jennifer Monroe (Tommy) of Cheshire, his in-laws Alan and Diane Mancini, many nieces & nephews and last but not least his beloved cat Rocky. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 27 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Memorial services will begin at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donation in his memory may be made to The Smilow Cancer Center, PO Box 208028, New Haven, CT 06520-8028.
