Marjorie Pawlak an 80 year old Seymour resident and wife of the late Frank Pawlak entered into eternal rest April 21. She was born Sept. 24, 1940 in Derby, daughter of the late Leslie and Marjorie Rowley Andrew.
She graduated from Ansonia High School and The Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse and nursing supervisor for Griffin Hospital in Derby and Bishop Wicke Health Center in Shelton. She was a parishioner of The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia and was a member of Derby Senior Center.
She leaves two daughters Terri Ptak(Mark) and Renee Pawlak, both of Seymour and son Kenneth Pawlak(Cheryl) of Ansonia, three grandchildren Brett, Brooke and Owen Pawlak, two dear sister-in-laws and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Harold Andrew.
Marge loved attending all of the sporting events for her grandchildren and was a big fan of the Uconn Women Huskies.
The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to Marge’s caregivers at Bishop Wicke Health Center. The love and care you so freely bestowed upon our mother was beyond compare. It was incredibly comforting to know that she was being cared for by a group of people who exhibited so much kindness and compassion. Our gratitude is immeasurable.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 30 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. At Marge's request there will be no calling hours.
