Margaret R. Trunkfield, a 101 year old longtime Ansonia resident currently of Shelton, passed away Jan. 3. She was born May 31, 1923 in Derby, daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Shaw Worley. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Griffin Hospital and the Farrel Corp., and was a lifelong member of The First United Methodist Church, on 47 Franklin St. in Ansonia. She later also belonged to The Derby Senior Center. In addition to her husband Harry, she was predeceased by her sister Muriel Worley. She leaves her son Glenn Trunkfield of New Haven, her daughter Gail Behrle (David) of Warrenton, Virginia and three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 11:00 a.m. from The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT. Donations in her memory may be made to her church.
