Kevin Joseph Ryan, age 57, a former Connecticut Resident, passed away on June 17, 2026 in the University of Vermont Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, CT, on November 30, 1968, he was the beloved son of the late Kevin D. Ryan and Jane Ann Pitt Ryan.
Kevin was currently a resident of Burlington, VT, where he immersed himself in the local community and pursued his love for creative expression. He worked various jobs throughout his life, including finding fulfillment as a freelance writer. A talented artist and intellectual, Kevin had a deep-seated passion for politics, classic rock, and comic books. In Vermont he combined his sharp wit and civic dedication by actively working on several local political campaigns.
He leaves behind his sister, Elizabeth Ryan Cook, and her husband Curtis, of Mason Ohio; his cherished nephews, Lucas Cook and Zachary Fair; his aunt, Eileen Ryan of Long Beach, California; as well as a handful of cousins and dear friends.
Services will be held on July 10, 2026 at Jekins-King and Malerba Funeral Home in Ansonia Connecticut, 12 Franklin Street Ansonia, CT 06401. Visitation will be held at 10AM-12PM followed by a celebration of life at the funeral home and interment at Great Hill Cemetery.
