Kenneth James LaRowe, a 61 year old long time resident and husband to Cathy Roberge-LaRowe of Ansonia, CT passed away on November 26, 2024 at the Hartford Hospital with his loving wife by his side. He was born April 23, 1963 in Derby, CT, the eldest son of the late Robert R. LaRowe and Patricia Adams McDonnell. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Along with having served in the USA, he served in Germany and South Korea. He worked as an aviation manager for The Triumph Group in Windsor, CT. Having worked for many years in the aviation industry, he previously worked for both Helicopter Support Inc. and Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. He graduated from Shelton High School and received a degree from the University of Phoenix. He was an avid long time Buffalo Bills fan. Everyone who knew him would know, any day the Bills were playing, those days would be off limits as he would attending "church". He was a proud veteran who often organized veterans celebrations at work. He could also be found placing flags at fallen veterans gravesites every veterans day. He had a passion for camping and fishing, having participated with Veterans for Fishing. He loved fishing in New Hampshire, Alaska, Costa Rica, and most anywhere he could pick up his fishing pole. He will be remembered for being a gentle giant of a man who was kind, thoughtful, generous and with a quick whit. A man who loved and dedicated his life to his wife and her family. He loved food and was an adventurous diner. He always had a corny joke to tell and special nicknames for his close loved ones. He will be infinitely missed. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cathy Roberge-LaRowe and his mother-in-law Renee Roberge both of Ansonia, CT. He also leaves a brother, Robert LaRowe of Derby CT, a sister Frances LaRowe of Ansonia, a sister Yvonne Wilson of CT. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his father-in-law Gilles Roberge, brother-in-law Pierre Roberge, step-mother Dorothy LaRowe and several aunts an uncles. A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday December 8th at 2:00 p.m. at The Great Hill United Methodist Church at 225 Great Hill Rd. Seymour, CT. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
