John Garris

John Garris, a 97 year Ansonia resident, passed away at The Bishop Wicke Health Center on Oct. 23rd. He was born April 11, 1927 in Murfreesboro, N.C., son of the late William & Erma Garris. He worked as a truck driver for I.D.A. of Derby, and was a member of The Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia. He leaves to cherish his memory his son John Garris of New Bedford, MA., his daughters Janet & Pamela Garris, both of Bridgeport and Marlo Garris of Kennesaw, Georgia, and grandchildren Deja Cauthen-Gautier, Christian John Garris, Austin John Garris, Noah John Garris, Natasha Keenan and Brock Washington. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 30th at 12:00 NOON from Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12 NOON. Burial will be private.
