Joan K. Loftus

Joan K. Loftus, a 77 year old resident of Seymour, passed away April 28. She was born July 1, 1945 in Derby, daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothy Soudier Emmerson. She worked as a retail manager for Petrie Stores and was a member of The River Valley Baptist Church of Ansonia. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons Jaiden Tyler Cirillo of Trumbull and Richard Cirillo of Derby, three daughters Alice Levey of Naugatuck, Patricia Cirillo of Ft. Worth, TX., & Jo Ann Roberts of Bethlehem, Georgia, two brothers, Robert Emmerson of Seymour and Alfred Emmerson of New Haven,  eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at The River Valley Baptist Church, 355 E. Main St., Ansonia at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to her church. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, of  Ansonia has been privileged with arrangements.
