Jeffrey M. Lionetti of Ansonia passed away suddenly at home on May 9 at the age of 46. He was born March 30, 1975 in Derby, and was the son of Diane Rusinik Lionetti and the late Anthony Lionetti of Ansonia. He was a lifelong Ansonia resident and 1993 graduate of Ansonia High School. He was an avid sports enthusiast, following his favorite teams, the N.Y. Yankees, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the North Carolina Tarheels. In addition to his mother Diane, he leaves his siblings Melissa DeNigris (Michael) of Oxford, Jennifer Lionetti (Joe Kendrick) of Rocky Hill and Mark Lionetti of Ansonia, as well as nieces and nephews Jason, Olivia and Griffin DeNigris of Oxford and Lindsay and Alyssa Lionetti of Beacon Falls. He also leaves his faithful and beloved dog Sammy. As a son, as a brother and as an uncle, he will be missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday May 29. Friends can attend walk through calling hours on Saturday at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. before the funeral leaves for church. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
