Helen Ranno an 87 year old Naugatuck resident, former resident of Lords Valley PA, and Ansonia and wife of the late Peter Ranno Jr., passed away June 18. She was born Jan. 31, 1936 in Derby, daughter of the late Albert Watrous and Edith Hotchkiss Watrous. Helen worked as a bookkeeper for the former Glazers Furniture Company in Ansonia, she was also an avid pie maker and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She leaves her three daughters Patricia Tomassetti (Gary) of Southington, Pamela (Richard) Tylinski of Ansonia and Susan(Michael)Evancho of Oxford, and seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Ethel Luukkonen, Marlene Wallick and Carolyn Reichardt.The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude for those caregivers who lovingly cared for our Mom. Elizabeth, Lynn, Kim, Hedy, and Jordan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 24 at 11:00 a.m. from The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
