Geneva Rose Venson, 87, of Ansonia, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on March 4, 2020 at the Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT., after a long illness. She was born on April 17,1932 in Derby, CT., daughter of the late William and Fannie Hill Bonaparte. She worked as a Certified Nurses’ Assistant at Hewitt Memorial Hospital in Shelton for 10 years. She was an active member and served as a Church Mother, at Greater Evangel Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Ansonia, until her illness. In addition to her former husband Ernest Rose, she was predeceased by her son, Frank Thomas Rose II, and her brother Edward Bonaparte. She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Gayle Tedder (Johnny) Tracey Rose Levey (Jonathan) and Nicole Rose, of Ansonia and Nona Rose of Hamden. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives. Special thanks to her loving caregivers, Andrea Wilson and Nadine Gibson. A Celebration of Geneva’s Life will be held Tuesday, March 10, at 11 a.m.at the Greater Evangel Temple COGIC, 38 Jackson St in Ansonia. Friends may call on Tuesday at the church from 10 to 11 a.m., funeral service at 11. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery on Church St. Ansonia.
