Frederick R. Schlitter Jr.

Frederick R. Schlitter Jr., 74, of Oxford, and beloved husband of Gail Anderson Schlitter for 50 years, went to be with the Lord on July 24. Born March 12, 1947, in Derby,  son of the late Frederick R. and Estelle Madalinski Schlitter. He was an accountant and co-owner of  Tomasella, Schlitter & Burrell in  Ansonia. He was a member of The Great Hill United Methodist Church in Seymour. In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory his son Dana F. Schlitter, his daughter Kristen L. Middlemiss, his sister Paula Strode, and grandchildren Henry, Oliver & Milo and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, July 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Great Hill United Methodist Church, 225 Great Hill Rd. in Seymour. There are no calling hours; burial will be private. Friends are asked to be casual and wear your Hawaiian shirt. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia,  has been privileged with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission or Great Hill United Methodist Church.
