Frank H. Kuraczea, Jr.

Frank H. Kuraczea, Jr., 64, of Ansonia, CT, passed away suddenly in his home on the evening of Tuesday, May 24th, 2022. Frank is survived by his loving wife Pamela (Gallant) Kuraczea, with whom he shared 36 wonderful years of marriage.

Frank was born in Bridgeport, CT on July 21st, 1957, to parents Grace E. Hanbury Kuraczea and the late Frank H. Kuraczea, Sr. As a young man, he proudly served as an altar boy for Saint Augustine’s Church in Bridgeport, CT. He was a dedicated machinist/leadman for Lockheed Martin (Sikorsky Aircraft) for 37 years. Frank was a passionate New York Yankees fan, earning himself the proud nickname “Yankee Frank”, a name recognized and used by everyone who came to know him. In addition to his love for the Yankees, Frank loved his motorcycles and taking road trips with his wife Pam on the back of his Honda Gold Wing. He enjoyed playing softball with his dear friends over many years for the Slovak Club of Ansonia, CT. Most importantly, Frank was a proud family man; a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to so many. Nothing gave him more joy than spending time laughing with and talking about the people he loved.

In addition to his wife Pamela, Frank is survived by his son Erik Kuraczea of Ansonia, CT and daughters Alicia Kuraczea of San Diego and Heather Benjamin (Isaiah) of Pittsburgh; his adoring grandchildren Aiden and Aubrey Benjamin of Pittsburgh; his mother Grace E. Kuraczea of Cheshire, CT, brother Robert Kuraczea of Florida, and sisters Mary Masci (Michael) and Linda Koppel of Cheshire, CT, as well as his uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and their children.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 28th, 2022, at Jenkins-King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin Street, Ansonia, CT.

Friends and family are welcome between the hours of 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, and a memorial service will be held following calling hours at Noon.
