Francesca (Piazza) DeBiase

Francesca DeBiase  a 101 year old wife of the late Guido DeBiase and resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest at home on Dec. 23. She was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Antonia Franzina Piazza. She was born Feb. 25, 1921 in Bridgeport and worked for Remington Rand Manufacturing. She is survived by her daughter Mary Ellen (DeBiase) Hartsburg & devoted partner Edward Latham of Derby,  son Robert DeBiase  and wife Patricia of Seymour, grandsons Kenneth Hartsburg & wife Sarah of Shelton and Robert DeBiase and  John DeBiase and wife Kayla all of Naugatuck, sister Jean Masiello of Westport, great-grandson John, step grandson Edward Latham and a great-granddaughter on the way. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by grandson Peter Sultsbach, sister Rose and brothers Tony, John, Emmanuel & Frank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 9:00 a.m.  from The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday evening, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
