Frances Bruce, a 90 year old Seymour resident and wife of the late Elliott Bruce, entered into eternal rest Dec. 5 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was born Feb. 16, 1933 in Charlotte, VT., daughter of the late Henry and Edith Morrill Lane. She was an owner and bookkeeper of Seymour Concrete Foundations with her husband Elliott. She was a member of the local chapters of Eastern Star and Amaranth as well as the local Red Hat Club and Seymour, Ansonia, Oxford, senior center choruses. She also was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s, local Laurel Ridge chapter for many years, as well as the local chapter of V.F.W. Fran also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. She is the last of eight children. She leaves her children Gary (Diane) Bruce, Randy (Patricia) Bruce, and Mary Lee (Art) Raro, all of Seymour, as well as 6 grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Elliott, granddaughter, Heather Marie Raro and great grandson, Isaiah Bruce. Services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 7:00 p.m. from The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
