Floyd Samuel Venson, an 80 year old Ansonia resident, passed away Feb. 21 at V.A. Hospital in West Haven. He was born Feb. 1, 1943 in Hartsville, S.C. Floyd was a Veteran of The Vietnam War and worked for Kerite Co. in Seymour. He is survived by his dad Wallace Samuel, his son Maurice Samuel, sisters Blanche Johnson & Ruby Samuel, both of Ansonia, and brother Curtis Arvinger. He was predeceased by his parents Perry Davis & Reatha Mae Samuel and three brothers Wallace, Caesar & James Earl Samuel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. at The Abundant Life Ministries Church in Ansonia. Friends may call 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, has been entrusted with arrangements.
