Edgar E. Albuja, a 65 year old Waterbury resident, passed away Feb. 4, surrounded by family and friends. He was born Dec. 4, 1960 in Quito, Ecuador, son of the late Carlos and Juana Franco Albuja. Edgar came to the US in the 1980s, where he pursued a degree in Computer Science from Gateway Community College (formerly South Central Community College). Edgar worked for PerkinElmer Co. in Shelton. He leaves three children Bianca Chernowsky of Milford; Damon Albuja of Waterbury; and Daniel Byron of Williamsport, PA; his grandson Charlie; his brother Patricio Albuja; nephews Edgar, Rolando, Ricardo & Antony Albuja and niece Geovanna Guevara; and a host of nieces, nephews and siblings. He was predeceased by his sister Ligia Albuja and nephew Bryan Albuja. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14 at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin Street, Ansonia.
