David A. Wright

David A. Wright Sr., an 88 year old Stratford resident and devoted husband of 66 years to Josephine Wright, passed away Oct. 17. He was born Jan. 19, 1935 in Waterbury, CT. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Minnie Weimann Wright. A graduate of Ansonia High School, class of 1952, David taught in the Ansonia Public School System and attended Yale University and S.C.S.U. He graduated with a Master’s degree from U.N.H. He was a former member of Christ Episcopal Church in Ansonia. In addition to his wife, he leaves three sons David of New Haven, Brian (Therese) of Savannah, Georgia, and Christopher (Jackie) of Milford, 2 daughters, Susan Rooney (Chris) of Stratford and Leslie Frost (Jeff) of Malibu, CA., 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by his grandson Quinn Rooney and his brother Lawrence. Friends may call on Sunday, Oct. 22nd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with prayer services beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia.
