David E. Williams

David E. Williams,  an 87 year old lifelong Ansonia resident and husband of 65 years to Gertrude Ritter Williams, passed away Aug. 30. He was born Aug, 21, 1938 in Derby, son of the late Earle and M. Margaret Van Wagenen Williams. He was a U.N.H. graduate with a degree in Criminal Justice, served and retired from the City of Ansonia after 22 years as a Police Officer and Detective, and was a former President of the Police Union. David also worked as a Norman Rockwell authenticator. David was a Veteran of The U.S. Army and was a lifetime member of The Eagle Hose Fire Co. in Ansonia. In addition to his wife Trudy, his memory is cherished by daughters Margaret Williams of Florida, Donna Boanno of Ansonia and Christine Pepe of North Carolina, son Karl Williams of Ansonia, sister Mary Margaret Williams of Ansonia, and 10 grand and 10 great-grandchildren. Celebration of Life memorial services will be held privately. He will be buried in the family plot in White Hills Cemetery in Shelton. There are no calling hours. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, has been privileged with arrangements.
