Daniel A. Mudry, a 54 year old Seymour resident entered into rest Nov. 10th after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 8, 1971 in Derby. Dan was a loving husband to Dianne Proctor Mudry and a loving father to Cody Winters (Kristen) and Storm Winters. He worked for Shelton Student Transportation as a school bus mechanic. He also served for 35 years as a firefighter, and the last 10 ½ years as Fire Chief for the town of Ansonia. He belonged to The Great Hill Firehouse in Seymour for the last two years. In addition to his wife Dianne and sons Cody and Storm, he leaves siblings Linda (Chuck) Payne and George Mudry IV, both of Seymour, Mother-in-law Lorraine Doherty, Father-in-law Alfred Proctor III, Brothers-in-Law Allen, Randy, Rory, and Matthew Proctor along with their spouse, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call on Sunday, Nov. 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Funeral services will follow. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Griffin Hospital’s Hospice Unit. Checks can be made payable to Griffin Hospital and sent to 130 Division Street, Derby, CT 06418.
