Charles Raymond Dickerson, an 86 year old Ansonia resident
and husband of 56 years to Louise Ferguson Dickerson, passed
away at home on Christmas Day. He was born Jan. 19, 1934
in Eldridge, Missouri, son of the late George M. Dickerson and
Maybell Burns Dickerson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He worked as a machinist for Farrel Corp. and was a member
of The Farrel Old Timers’ Club. He attended The First United
Methodist Church in Ansonia. Charles was also an avid golfer
and a member of The Southington Country Club. He was
predeceased by his two brothers Bobby & Edward. In addition to
his wife Louise, Charles is survived by his brother John Arlie
Dickerson of Eldridge, Missouri and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 30 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 47 Franklin St. Ansonia. Friends may attend walk through calling hours at church from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service. Please follow all C.D.C. guidelines and wear a mask. Burial with military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to The Ansonia U.M.C., 47 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT.
