Carl Winston Jones

Carl Winston Jones, a 72-year-old New Haven resident, and devoted husband to Barbara Antrum Jones passed away on March 8, 2021.  He was born November 3, 1948, in New York City, son of the late Frank Jones Sr. and Thelma Campbell Jones. Carl earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of New Haven and enjoyed a 40-year career in the Network Engineering Department at AT&T. Among his numerous contributions to his community, he was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in New Haven, as well as a proud Brother of the I.B.P.O.E. of W East Rock Elks Lodge. In addition to his wife, Carl leaves behind his daughter Kimberly A. Jones of Silver Spring, MD, his son Carl (Chris) Jones and his daughter- in law, Donalda of Stafford, VA. Carl especially loved his time spent with his grandchildren Christopher (6) and Corey Jones(3) of Stafford, VA. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Chloe, his brother Frank Jones Jr. and his in-laws Evelyn and Ervin Antrum. 

Friends may attend walk-through calling hours on Monday, March 15  from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT. The funeral will leave for graveside services beginning at 12:30 p.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, 15 Church Street, Ansonia, CT. To protect everyone’s health and safety, guests are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing guidelines. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider donating to the Immanuel Baptist Church Scholarship Ministry.
