Arthur G. Lobdell

Arthur G. Lobdell, 83, an Ansonia CT. and Naples, Fl. resident and devoted companion to Margaret McManus Gaetano, passed away Feb. 21st in Naples, Florida. He was the son of the late Arthur & Carolyn May Shorrock Lobdell. He was predeceased by his wife Bertha. He was employed for most of his life by Apex Tool where he was a draftsman. Arthur is survived by his life partner Margaret Gaetano, his daughter Bonnie Halligan (William) his son Arthur and three grandsons, Ben, Billy and Jack. Additionally he is survived by his brother, Wayne Lobdell (Sandi); sister Sharon Lobdell Smith, and several nieces and nephews. Also left to cherish Art’s memory are Margaret’s family: Pam & Jay, Louis & Amy and most of all the grandchildren John, Hannah & Lukie. Art enjoyed many hobbies. Golfing, UCONN Basketball, traveling, vintage cars, Westerns and Sunday’s with the family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1st at 11:00 a.m. from The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
